For a 1-inch steak, follow these broiling tips (because the Winter weather outside is probably not ideal for grilling) to achieve that perfect doneness, according to preference:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf The pan should be 2-4 inches below the broiler heat source<br \/>\n\u25cf For \u201crare\u201d (120-130 Fahrenheit), broil the steak for 6 minutes on the first side, then 5 minutes on the other side.<br \/>\n\u25cf For \u201cmedium rare\u201d (130-140 Fahrenheit), broil for 7 minutes on the first side and 6 minutes on the other side.<br \/>\n\u25cf For \u201cmedium\u201d (140-150 Fahrenheit), broil for 8 minutes on the first side and 6 minutes on the other side.<br \/>\n\u25cf For \u201cwell done\u201d (160-170 Fahrenheit), broil for 11 minutes on the first side and 9 minutes on the other side.<\/p>\n<p>The best thing about serving steaks at a family dinner like during Christmas is that everyone can enjoy theirs cooked to how they like it!
